I don't recommend that you go out in unfamiliar territory at night without a gps (do you have something on your phone you could use?). But... if you want to go then I would go to the FL Hangers page for this hang and print out the hiking path map and download the Google kmz file. Load the file in Google Earth and become as familiar as possible with all of the roads (there are multiple ways to get there).

If you want my cell number just send me a pm but it won't do much good that night. If you get lost just pick a good spot to camp for the night and try again in the morning. We'll be heading out for a day hike at about 10 Saturday morning so you should have plenty of time if you wanted to come in the morning.

There is water in the pond next to where we will be camping with easy access to it (I talked to olddog earlier today and he and emceee are out there already so I asked to make sure that the water level was still up). It appears to be good clear water but treatment is always a good idea

I'll see you there. olddog and emceee are already out there and a few people will straggle in late so there may only be a few of us at 11. I'm trying to fight off a cold so I'm not positive that I'll be able to stay the entire time (depends on how I feel... I'm fine now but who knows).
