    amen to that brother Spam....

I did meet Ragnal, got him on vid---yes he was leaving Slick Rock while we were hiking in....memory slow but gets there.
    But without JoeyB we'll freeze.

Now on those creek crossings. Seriously how many. A few years ago I missed a thread about water crossings on another hike and hated it....I guess depth of anticipated water would be good to know too.....remember foot warmers for frozen feet that night as a not to self.

Just remembered the Chinese buffet extraganza afterward with Roche...could def. do that again.

I was quoted 18+ crossings and I tried to count, but lost track. There are a lot of crossings, but I never encountered anything I couldnt rockhop with a little creative thinking, but if you prefer to just walk through, they were never more than mid calf deep

It's been extremely dry this year, I just got back this afternoon from the leatherwood ford area and can say that the dry stream beds can quickly become small fordings should rain fall like it did late yesterday afternoon and last night. On the way out we encountered several trail washouts, freshly downed trees, and the river at Leatherwood ford had risen nearly 12" overnight. Not sure of your intended route but the washouts I encountered were on the mile of the Angel Falls Overlook trail closest to the leatherwood ford bridge and the east half of the Honey Creek Overlook Loop.

Hopefully my work schedule will allow me to be at the hang in Nov.

As of today we only have 75 days to find a suitable Chinese buffet east of BSF.

I am working on getting an attendance list together even though its still a ways off. I just want to make sure I am on top of things. How many definitely plan to be there...barring something happening anyway? And who is going to stick to the "maybe" for now?

Thanks for the info Spam. It looks like you had a wet weekend for scouting even without the stream crossings.

We met at the top of the "hill" as ya'll were going in to Slickrock. It will be good to see you again, and for more than 5 min. (On a side note your Alaska pics are amazing.)

Yeah, I heard we got some rain. It was dry pretty much the whole time for me. The only rain I saw was during the last 1.8 miles of the trip
