i am really hoping to make it to this hang. I was trying to go to NEHHA but i will not make it to that hang. Fam is having a party that i have to attend. I will see if i can get the Friday off and drive down.
Doing my Best to get off work at the end of January for this Hang.
It looks about 90 % sure that I can make it. I have just enough time off for the Friday morning- Sunday morning hang but no pre-hike for me on this one, ( and I love pre-hikes).
But of course its all null and void if the world comes to an end December 21st.

"I am the eagle, I live in high country, in rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky;
I am the hawk and there's blood on my feathers, but time is still turning they soon will be dry;
All those who see me, and all who believe in me, share in the freedom I feel when I fly.”
Anyone know the how the camp fared from Sandy? I have not had a chance to swing by.

I haven't been to Batona, but hiked from Batsto to Lower Forge a week or two ago. Surprisingly little damage. I expected more blowdowns.
