a BIAS Camper, $49.95 and 12 ozs. and a Terra Rosa Gear Wandering Tarp (9 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 8 in.) in Tyvek and set up as an asym at $50.00 and 8 ozs. Of course, shipping will bump it up a bit, but two great cottages gear makers, light weight, pretty close to budget... what's not to like?

I weighed this about two weeks ago on our very sensitive scale. I have the tarp with bag (no poles) and line at 25 ounces. It's going to be 22-23 oz. without bags and line. I bought this after I got my GG 9x9 tarp that was supposed to be 11x11. While the tarp was a disappointment, the shelter was not.

55 ounces with tarp, bags, lines, poles, and stakes.
21.5 ounces for just the tarp.

Not sure, but I ordered mine without joining. I did the math...can't remember, but the $20+ joining fee was more than the $5 discount I was going to get. I don't see myself ordering a lot of gear from them, so the dues didn't seem worth paying.

that's what I figured I wasn't sure if there was some way to get around that. I don't have the fund yet and I have a big tarp I plan on using for me and my son. So I will wait and see if I feel I need it. I was looking for something to cover 2 hammocks.

it's $30 a year, but you get a pair of $10 coupons for future purchases and free shipping the day you join in addition to a 5% discount on ammo and 10% on almost everything else.

if you have a large purchase to make, it can be worth it.
If you have several friends that need gear, it's worth it for one of you to join the club.
otherwise, it's pretty close to a break even deal, especially if all you're buying is a single item the day you join.
