    Hello, hammockers

Hey everyone, I'm a college student from NJ who's just starting to get into hammock camping and backpacking/backcountry camping in general. Right now, my setup is a Hammock Bliss Noseeum-No-More hammock, an Etowah Outfitters 8x10 tarp, and a blue CCF pad. I just got back from my first real trip in the Catskills and the hammock worked great. I've been lurking here a while, but maybe now I'll start to actually post. So, how's it going?

I was curious as well, thanks! And welcome, Gebruike! I'm jealous, I've always been fascinated with the Catskills. Growing up my favorite books were My Side of the Mountain and Where the Red Fern Grows, so the Catskills and the Ozarks would be almost like childhood-fantasy hikes!

No problem. Yeah, the Catskills are pretty awesome. I did the Burroughs Range Loop and it was a very hard hike for an inexperienced person like me, haha. Here's a pic of my hammock setup:

This was the view from our campsite on Giant Ledge, right behind those trees in back of the hammock:

I thought it was pretty cool.
