    Synthetic Down

    I'm wondering if i buy a synthetic down underquilt, can i leave it compressed for long periods?

    I hear that even synthetics suffer from long term compression. I just stuff mine in a cotton pillowcase and tie up the end . . . that is unless I'm taking them on the bike, kayak, pack, or even car camping, then I put them in my biggest compression sack/dry bag and only compress it if and as much as needed for the room available.
