Waiting for a good storm to camp in, it has been very dry this summer in MO. I was wondering how you guys usually set up when it is raining out. I am assuming, tarp first, then hammock...?

We both know I have to kill you now, you'll just have to imagine the fire!
I keep my tarp in my side pocket and that goes up first. Gives you a dry area to work under. when I pack up if the tarp is wet i put it in the mesh pocket on the outside of my pack.
But if you did it the other way, hammock first, you could have a water bed to sleep in.

Tarp first, then hammock, unless you're using a hammock sock, then it all hangs up at the same time
Yep, tarp is at the easy grab and go location, and sat up first.
If you happen to be traveling with some "ground dwelling" friends, you'll likely have company under your tarp once you get it set up too.
Yep. Tarp, then hammock.
As an aside: TRY THIS BEFORE YOU GO OUT ON THE TRAIL!
Even if you're setting up in the dry, you'll get a feel for the distance between the hammock and tarp at differently-spaced trees. This is critical to keeping yourself dry, and becomes even more so as your tarp size decreases. Practice, practice, and practice, every single time you go out. It's worth it.
