generic hammock arrived today

Just got back from a 3 night trip to Damascus. Nothing compares to that snug as a bug in a rug feeling, surrounded by down quilts, in a comfortable hammock, when the temps are low!!!

I dread the day I ever have to go to ground again.

just my opinion since im a big guy but if you havnt already, i would replace the s-hooks with biners or something like that. s-hooks just dont make me feel safe

Yep, done! Switched out the weeny s-hooks for the double rappelling rings (used as a buckle for the webbing). Works great!

But I'm concerned...those lines from the hammock to the rings. They're only blue. Sedately blue. Soothingly blue. And they coordinate nicely with the hammock. No, to be Really Loud and Proud you want bright lime Spyderline, with a safety orange accent.

No, worries, Grizz! I will have lime green lines on my purple tarp.
