    Zing-It wearing out?

I was hanging in my back yard the other day and noticed one side of the zing-it holding my tarp seemed to be about 1/3 the diameter of the other side in the loop (hope that makes sense). I'm guessing it was just due to the high tension, but if anyone experienced this from getting worn out I would like to hear about it. Or maybe just the 10" or so being pulled thru the tarp flyz hook is wearing it down?

I wouldn't mind replacing it every so often under high use, but certainly not after just a dozen setups.

Not sure....a picture would help a lot. Tarps don't really have that kind of tension on them in my opinion.

The tarp Flyz should not be wearing your line. However I have much better processes and equipment these days at getting rid if the ti edges. If you think the flyz are doing any damage let me know and I will send replacement Flyz and zing it.

I'm a little suspect that is actual wear but just in case it is, I'd keep using it so I could observe how it begins to fail and possibly even trace it back to a cause. There's always something to be learned.

Are you getting any fray on the line?

Hey dude I remember your post about not being fully comfortable in your hammock, not to stray the subject but I wanted to see if you got it dialed in to your liking.

Thanks Dutch. Now that I look at them I'm positive the flyz are not causing any problems. They are silky smooth on the edges!

No frayed line. I'll keep an eye on it. I should have looked after taking it down before packing away since I suspected it was just under tension, maybe too much.

That's awesome you remembered that, thanks for asking! No more issues to speak of. Had a difficult time getting it dialed in at home for some reason, but when I'm out backpacking I'm totally comfortable!

Hey Dutch, can you reply with when you made the change? And was this to the area where you "lock" the line into after pulling tension?
