    Spinnaker cloth for hammock?

I have searched to forums for any reference to people using spinnaker cloth for a hammock. I have found a number of posts about using it for a tarp. Aside from it not being all that breathable what are the draw backs? I am thinking about using it on the beach as a place to read not a place to camp. My daughter likes the hot pink that I can get in it. I ordered a few yards of it fibermax 64 which is 1.5 oz. have been out of the business for a long time so I am not sure of the texture of the cloth. Figured if it did not work for hammock then would make a sun shade for the hammock out it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

breathable fabric would probably be alot more comfortable against bare skin especially in warm weather, i bet you can find some hot pink 1.9 oz breathable fabric somewhere. one of the eno,TL,TTTM brands sells a pink one too.
