Well I just spoke with my local WMA officer. I asked him about an area near me that is normally used for hunting. I'm not going to say where just yet, he hasnt responded with a solid "yes" yet. He did say that he would be willing to "over look" camping in this area as long as it stays clean and I abide by normal camping rules. The only real problem is this is also a big game hunting area and there are a lot of horse back riders in there as well. The area is near Greenback, TN. If I hear from him with a solid "yes" then maybe a few of us can stealth in there. The major stipulation is that no camping AND hunting. We could do either, but not both. Sadly, he requested that this would have to stay with locals to the area and that I wouldnt tell everyone. For us locals, its great. It's only a 20 minute drive from my house and a 30-40 minute drive from Knoxville. I know that area inside and out since I have hunted it since I was 15. I know the perfect spot too. Fingers crossed.
