I was doing inventory in the shop and found a 4 yard roll of supplex that was earmarked to be a hammock but was relegated to the "shelf" when I went ahead and bought a couple HH's.
Whats your thoughts on using it as the shell for either a down or climashield UQ?
Ok - I'll bite. But first - is this for a down or synthetic underquilt? I don't believe (and I expect to be corrected if not) that Supplex is down proof. I'm sure it would work for synthetics though.

Supplex is pretty heavy for a quilt, but it makes a wonderful hammock (though still heavier than the gram weenies would approve). I've used it for down insulated winter hammocks with 1.1 ripstop as the bottom layer, with no sign of down leakage, so, yes, it's downproof. I also used it for my dog's hammock because it's tough enough to stand up to his toenails. Good fabric.
