Oh no... .. and - Howdy from the Finger Lakes

Oh no... I'm afraid I've acquired a new outdoor obsession with hammocks and have stumbled upon a bevy of knowledgeable hammock addicts to help me learn the ropes (pun intended).

I completed my first noob rite-of-passage today in running out and buying the first hammock that struck my fancy - the ENO Doublenest. Even after searching here on the forum a bit about some recommended mods, I'm still not exactly sure what Whoopie straps are yet, but the name alone has me intrigued enough to read on about them!

Suffice it to say that after spending some time in my new hammock this afternoon, I experienced a higher level of comfort than I've had sleeping ANYWHERE in quite awhile. I've wanted to try sleeping in a hammock ever since I saw people using them as their permanent sleeping mode while driving through southern Mexico and Belize a few years back. I'm happy that I finally made good on this impulse!

My first moments of bliss today...

    Welcome aboard.

You'll soon learn that a hammock is a hole in the air that you never stop throwing money into.

Now be truthful, did you buy that truck because it matches the color of your hammock?
