    Leech socks

Leech socks! We wear these over our normal socks. These leech socks are made of a material that the leech is not able to squeeze through. But the leech will crawl up, so you need to check once in awhile to make sure there are no leeches on crawling up towards your pants! Without these socks, the leech will go straight through your shoes and/or socks, and you'll arrive at the campsite with bloody feet. Fortunately for this trip, there were not many leeches. Previously on another trip, a guy got bitten like 18 times. 3 on his body! Since then, he always wear leech socks!

oh, thanks for the answer, I never would of guessed that. sounds like a real problemo those leeches.
we have them here in alabama also but different.
i remember sitting in Little River years ago in some stoney rapids
and i looked at the girls inner thighs that was with me and they were teaming with small leeches.
when I pointed them out to her I had to peel her off of the sky she screamed and jumped so high.
    never forget that one

    Thanks for sharing.

I see some guys with their cloth off. What was the temperature?

How big is the hammock culture over there? Are the equipment easily accessible?

    Thanks.
