Hanging a hammock on a wall indoors.

Hey all, I've been looking into the idea of getting a hammock for my nightly slumbers. I've found plenty of sites online about drilling into two studs in the wall and just hanging it from there, so I was basically wondering if anybody here had any experience with that. It just makes me nervous that maybe I'll bow the studs or pull them out of the wall, etc. I don't really think I can afford to fix that.

Can anybody either confirm or deny these qualms before I go forth with installing this?

I just did this yesterday in my sons room and it is working great. I took a product called a Sammy, http://www.itwbuildex.com/sas_woodvertical.shtml it was the 2" wood screw, and an eye bolt that screws in when he wants to hang. When not hanging there is nothing obtrusive left in wall. I screwed it into the top plate of the wall, just below the ceiling.

I hung mine in the living room for about 6 months before I took off for my hike.
    Never had a problem whatsoever.

I got the $3,64 screws/hangar made for porch swings from Walmart.
I'll try to see if I can find the exact set. Not all Walmarts carry them.

Tortoise never for a moment stopped, but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course.

Yep, and it turned me into a full time hammock sleeper indoors or out. bought eyebolts with about 5" of thread, drilled a pilot hole just a skosh smaller than the shaft under the threads so it really got full engagement and turned them in til the eye just about touched sheet rock. They haven't budged or wiggled. I weigh about 220 and Im hanging at way less than 30 degrees so the strain is higher. Now, one stud is in an "outside" indoor corner so it has studs adjacent to it making it stronger, and the other is like the next stud out from a window frame (didn't want to risk damaging a window if the stud ever failed, and I'm pulling about 45 degrees off the long axis of the stud (the 4" side) so they have some torsion as well as tension on them. House was built in 1981 with fir studs. Oh the one by the window is a 2x6 on the outside wall. Corner one is interior wall. I just put some short straps through the eyes and a toggle holds the whoopies. It works!

    Enjoy!

4" I-bolts in to studs, have them in all the kids rooms and my room. Wifey thought I was crazy until I caught her napping one afternoon in the hammock. She said that I would need to get a hammock for her. So the addiction spreads.
