    Any cheap sources of Silnylon?

Anyone know of cheap sources of Silnylon? Found some at Walmart a few years ago, but haven't seen any in a long time.

Call Noah Lamport @ (800) 548-6940. They have silnylon seconds for $3 a yard. Make sure you let them know you want it off the roll and they also charge a cutting fee ( either $5 or $10 I can't remember). Minimum order is 10 yards.

I recently ordered from Noah Lampart at $3/yard. I was able to buy what was left on the roll, 13 yards and avoided the cutting fee. Shipping is a little high but still works out to be a good deal if you need more than 10 yards.

The silnylon comes on a cardboard roll. If you don't ask they will ship it on the roll which then incurs oversized shipping fees. If you ask for it off the roll they will fold it and put it in a box.

fabric is sold three ways. Pre-cut pieces of various sizes. Usually you have to buy the whole piece but since they are usually less than 5 yds that is not too bad. Roll ends and salvage/surplus lots are often sold this way. Some places will cut for you if at least a yard will be left. Otherwise, you have to buy it all.

Bolt lengths. Rolled on a cardboard slab. A full bolt is usually 20-25 yerds. Less or more depending on the fabric. Thick fleece is less, china silk can be more. You can buy what you need. Sometimes the bolt contains cut pieces. Not too bad if you can work around them. This is the typical retail lot.

Or off the roll. This is a wholesalers lot and is often 100-1000+ yards depending on the manufacturer and the fabric in question. It is the cheapest per yard but often requires either a cutting charge or a larger (bolt type) purchase.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
