I've got both the Noah 9 and 12 and have never had a leak. Used the Noah 12 on a nine day hunt last year as a dining fly, rained almost solid seven of the nine days. Never had a leak. By the end, we were ready to ditch the tarp and start building an ark. I use the 9 primarily for three season hammocking, unless I know there is going to be a ton of rain or cold. The twelve works great if you want to shut the doors. Plenty of room to close it right down. Great tarps for the $$$, tad on the heavy side though. Very durable. My two cents.

I have been looking at both of those options myself and I have noticed that the Kelty specs have been lowered from 1800mm to 480mm. I would love to hear how the new version holds up to a good soaking.
Hammocking, car camping, backpacking, kayaking, and mountain biking. Getting in touch with nature is getting expensive. Good thing I can DIY!

I've only had my Kelty Noah Tarp 12 for a few months and have only used it a handful of times but it works great! It has great coverage. Me and a few of my friends went camping a few weeks ago and they slept under the tarp too. They(3) were on the ground. The Kelty has a variety of setup options. It isn't the lightest but it isn't the heaviest either. It is a good workhorse tarp. I love mine. Also it can be packed down to about half the length of the included stuff sack.

Do you have a pic of a double hang under the N12?
