Now because of your post I no choice but to start convince the wife to start a "I need another hammock" saving fund.
I just threw the thing on there real quick to see if it was going to be a viable option for the hammock. I can see a couple issues with it. The fact it's so wide it straddles the saddlebags is one. All I did was clip the biners to the ends of the triangles and ran the suspension lines over the top of the spreader bars. I'm going to spend more time messing with the set up in the next couple days and see what I come up with. It will either be to modify the Phoenix, or sell it and get the Lynx. The latter will probably happen since I love dedicated equipment...

That sure is nice looking. This forum is really killing me. I will be selling some hammocks in the future to purchase a RidgeRunner.

Nice! Thanks for posting the pics Yukon. If you happen to get your Superfly over it, please let us know how it works.

    Cheers

Well I went ahead and ordered the RR tonight. It just answers all the issues my bride had with the BB (mostly calf pressure) and if the UQ does not work as is, it can be modified. This thread was helpful, showing the Phoenix set up, thanks.

We are planning a high country get away toward the end of Sept and I will need some time to get it set for her. Now if Brandon will just offer one for us hefty folk.

Here are some pics with an HG Incubator. The ends seal up great, but the sides have a considerable gap.
    Head end

    Foot end

Sides with saddle bags flopped to inside.

The leg shlelf still contours great and the center (down middle of your back and butt) of quilt is tight against you.

Put some more time in the hammock with the Phoenix on and I can honestly say it works great. You can put the saddlebags outboard of the quilt with no issues (drafts). The quilt snugs up very well and doesn't move around. One of the things I never liked with the blackbird was all the fussing around to get everything correct. I can set this hammock up in half the time and be ready to sleep. Lovin it!
