You guys/gals are too king. Means a lot. You all treat me like family!
Uploading 'Hiking with the Bears of Katmai as I type'....I promised to
keep the vid under 15 minutes then decided to do it in a couple of parts.
The bear vid I think is less than 8 minutes so hopefully won't bore too long.

Les: Don't move Alaska up your bucket list. Put it at the top. I fell in love with it on my first trip and start planning/saving for next year as soon as I get home.

We go in early June when you are driving along and realize it's 11PM but the sun is still up, the Kings are running and moose are calving. It's magic.

I live in Montana and love it dearly, but Alaska is truly the most amazing place I have ever been.

MedicineMan - did you hang in Katmai? I'm pretty sure I'd sleep with one eye open and one hand on my UDAP!

    MM,

Thanks for sharing. Several Army buddies have mentioned moving there after retiring because they loved it so much.

You haven’t been posting on the Hammock Forums, so I knew you must have been up to something big and I can’t think of anything bigger that Alaska. As the other posters have said, beautiful photos! A bit depressing though, I must say! It makes me think of how much us humans are damaging and destroying places like that. Thanks for the snaps, and I’m looking forward to the video.

I’ll repeat what Acer said, just in case you missed it:
