Acer, if the corner of the UQP is clipped to the spreader bar rings (is that what you mean?) then the whole UQP would droop - it is too long and too wide for the UL BMB, but too short to clip to the 3 way ring at both ends.

Running the suspension up over the spreader bar would give quite a bit of protection to the ends.

I the quilt clips were sewn to snug the UQP under the UQ for both length and width, it would work I think.

ZQ here. I will be putting 4 additional tabs on the UQP inline with the 4 corners of the hammock. So, if desired, one could attach the UQP to the 4 corners of the bridge. It would hang on the hammock like the pics in post #13. I will be sending a UQP to Acer and Fallkniven by the beginning of next week. We all shall see how it fits then!

As a UQP,,,its supposed to droop and not fit snug, so that the down quilt is not compressed at all. Its there to protect,,from blowing rain and wind. As long as its hanging and fits somewhat,,it will work I think,,,if its too long, it can always be modified to fit the way you want it to I am thinking. I have about 18 hrs in sewing by hand,,as I use no machine, a top cover from Momentum that I am going to put with the UQP for a total SEEP style winter sock. When I get the UQP from ZQ will have a better understanding of how it can fit. So far I really like what I see tho.

ZQ here....looking over this thread again...will be making the UQPs for Acer and Fallkniven this afternoon.

I realized that I forgot to thank photohiker for "trying on" the UQP on his bridge...and for taking pictures. This was very helpful...a BIG Thanks!!

    ZQ, thanks, you're welcome!

Acer, yes. The UQP should not compress the UQ, I have used it on my BB snugged up under the UQ and not compressing the UQ, and there is a noticeable improvement in UQ performance - definitely less likely to have cold spots with it on. I think it helps to close any gap between UQ and Hammock.

How do you think a neat sheet would work as a UQP?
