This afternoon I picked up a diy tablecloth hammock, a pillow, and a book and headed out side to rest and read for a while before the rain set in. I laid the book and pillow down, hooked up my hammock to my turtle-dog stand, turned around, griped the hammock with both hands and sat down gently, picked up my feet, then the world fell in on me.
I hit the ground, the top rail hit me across the head and bloodied my nose, near knocking me out. All seems OK now but for a bump and a sore head.
What happened, I failed to even check the position of the tripods, and the one on my left had been bumped and was tilted inward enough that when I loaded it, it flipped and came down hard. Good news is no damage to stand.
I now have a plan of action, before putting my rear end in any hammock, I will look carefully at the suspension including tripod or tree.
