Does anybody know where i could get some rip stop that is at least 72" wide. i am going to make a second gathered end and wanted to try a wider one for kicks.

My top 3 go-to fabric suppliers are:
www.DIYGearSupply.com
www.owfinc.com
www.QuestOutfitters.com
They all have had 72" wide fabrics at one time or another. Stocks at all suppliers vary from time to time.

You can always add panels to the edge ala ENO and others. I have done that and it works nicely. Flat Felled seam is my preferred seam for this application.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

oh! i didn't realize diygearsupply had 72"! my next question then would be will 1.1oz hold up to my 220lbs of weight? or do i need to do a double layer?
According to a trustworthy source, Warbonnetguy, you might be pushing a SL at 220#. It will hold you but might squeeze more than you find comfortable.
That being said I've heard of many hangers in that weight range who like their 1.1 SL just fine. John Sawyer comes to mind.
Buy enough for a double and try a single first.
