    Hello All,

Super excited about this (my first) group hang!

I am packing up this weekend, so far I am bringing a paddle for Bubba and Kasuko and a Canoe for Jayson and Tracy. I have read all the posts and am having trouble figuring out whether I have a canoe partner? in which case I will bring a second tandem or whether I need the Solo? I am happy with either situation, but maybe Chard could propose/post a pairing list for the canoes?

If anyone needs anything else, wants to join me from Gravenhurst, or wants to leave a car at my house just shoot me a msg on here.

As per the suggestion I will respond to the last group message with my contact info and I will throw in my address for anyone who wants to use the driveway.

    Cheers

    Cedar.

Ok, under duress, I put together a draft based on what I could unravel from the posts. Some of us are paired up already, some have indicated a preference for soloing, some don't care either way.

This is just a first cut, so feel free to throw in your ideas.

Fleet Arrangements (* Bringing canoe/# Borrowing canoe)

    Tandam teams so far...
    Chard* & Bubba, Dant8ro* & Brantwing, Jayson & Tracey#, Jiblets* & Kasuko

Indicated that they wanted to solo...
    Hankster*, Mongrel*, Cedar328*

Wow chard that's quite the flotilla. I hope you know a few big sites in little trout that will accommodate our landing party. If not we can always snag two close together and paddle/walk back and forth. I know on N. Tea and Manitou there are several connected by short trails. I'm in uncharted waters so I'll leave it up to those who have been around that part of The Park.

Can I suggest (not that it matters) that we break up the permits in advance too?

If you'd like to put the tandem boats on your permit, Dad and I will pick up the solos. :edit per below.

    Permit 1 (Chard's):
    Chard* & Bubba, Jayson & Tracey#, cedar* & Kasuko

    Permit 2 (Dan's):
    Dant8ro* & Brantwing, Hankster* & Jiblets, Mongrel*

ps. Hankster: Cedar said earlier that he'd be happy in tandem as well, you might send a quick pm...

OK, Hankster seems keen to bring a boat and Jiblets said he "could" bring a boat, so why don't we amend that original fleet proposal to Hankster and Jiblets in Hanksters canoe and I will bring the tandem for Kasuko and I? Does that work?

    Hmmm...

So far, as I see it, we've got eleven people coming and no lack of canoes. We've got two tandem teams (father/son, husband/wife) and a pair of soloists (Mongrel/Cedar). The challenge is that we've got three canoes, Hankster's, Jiblets' and mine, available to team up with Bubba and Kasuko. While I've been looking forward to going tandem, I certainly have no problem going solo if it helps get everyone to Little Trout.

Quite a little quandary. Any suggestions?

    Quick insertion...

That would work as well! Hankster and Jiblets can always figure out which canoe to bring.

Of course, if we get any last minute additions, things may become a little easier.

Since I'm leaving my canoe behind, I may as well try to leave the car behind too. Anyone going from Toronto have space for an extra passenger?
