Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
Assuming he is coming/has come home today he will probably be fairly quiet for a few more days due to the pain meds and need for rest. Then he should gradually perk up. That is also assuming he has a portable to write on. That is when I got this laptop working because I could not sit at the computer desk. I also totaled out the lounge chair by the end of my second hip... ;-)
Dave, If you are reading things yet just remember every day gets better. No idea when that ends as I recently started at the gym and am continuing to get stronger and better.

I'm doing well...in an inpatient rehab center. Sort of a joyless, institutional sort of place, but that's okay: its a safe place for me to heal for a week or so. Thanks for checking on me.
Oh, as close as I can tell, I'm at least three .months from being cleared for hammocks.

Haven't been on in a while, and sorry I'm late for the get well party. I'm pulling for you, or totally pushing you to get well soon!! I hope you're back out there hanging in the trees as soon as possible. Take care friend!!
Dave, its about 4 months to the Fairfield hang, you got something to shoot for!
3 mo sounds long but I was not trying to hang in the winter. ;-) Sounds like you were in worse shape than I was. Pay attention to your PT and you will be continually seeing progress.

3 months should go pretty quickly. Here's to a speedy recovery. At least a week in a rehab ctr will help you decide to avoid that old folk's home someday.
Hmmm... somebody should set up a retirement home for the outdoor minded... I would move in next week...
