    would this work ???

has anyone out there used a foam pad inside a zipped up synthetic sleeping bag and put this between the layers on a DL hammock as insulation to my thinking this would stop the sleeping bag moving around and bunching up and at the same time soften out the pad and prevent sweating so much just an idear but would it work ???

It would definitely work, but an UQ sure is alot easier to deal with! I can't believe I waited so long to get mine but I'm glad I did! Maddog

It works somewhat, but you still have insulation compression. There is a thread around here somewhere discussing making a floppy layer so the insulation doesn't compress.
