Comparing top entry HH with a Warbonnet

Can anyone give me some comparison statistics on these two? I had my HH modified with a zipper entry. How would the Warbonnet differ?
    Thanx, bill

hey bill, i don't know if anyone has both or not.

the answer though is basically just the difference between the 2 hammocks (not counting the zipper of course)

the other main differences would be:

the lay defining shape of the design. for the same size bed fabric (mine's probably wider at 72" than any hh) so for the same length at least, you will have alot more room in the head/shoulder area and the foot area. this also results in a somewhat flatter lay.

    the double layer option

    the storage shelf

    USA made.

for those that might be considering either an hh or the warbonnet, i would like to opinion that side/top entry is far superior to bottom entry if for no other reason than having easy access to your pack and being able to make coffee in the morning without having to actually get out of bed.

the blackbird also comes with a double ended stuff sac for use as a bichop sac, and gives a choice between a traditional line/tree strap suspension and a ring buckle/adjustable webbing suspension (triangular ring buckles coming soon)

I own both a HH ULBP and the Blackbird. The Blackbird's larger interior room, shelf space, flat lay are design features that IMHO make it a "better" hammock. The side/top entry allows the use of a sleeping bag significantly easier than the HH ULBP. My bags have 1/2 zips. Sort of a pain to get into in the HH. Not sure of the exact increase in actual physical interior space. I used the shelf to store the raincoat, shoes and flashlight. The shelf space is deceptively large. I could have easily added a fleece jacket and small book to the stuff already in the shelf. If you like a sleeping position with less of flat lay just position your body more down the centerline. This opinion is based only on a single night. Tonight is test night #2.
