    Introducing the Neutron Ultra

I think this is the first double layer hammock out of Momentum 50.
On my scales with the amsteel connector (in the sewn end channels) it is 8.1 ounce. I think on Neutrons scales it weighs some over 7 ounces. This is a wide bodied hammock and very comfortable. The m50 has a nice yet slick feel to it. Poof tested first, then Neutron, then me then a combo at 310 pounds and no ripping sounds
Vid to come soon I hope.

    ....

No stretch even after 310 pounds applied.
Single layer? Neutron is working on it....hoping to find m55 (I think its momentum 50 with the ripstop grid)...if any body knows where it can be found let Neutron know.

Interesting. I thought about replying but after a good sleep I still wonder. If you watch the video where you are in the hammock and it forms that shelf under your arm the material is doing something as it deforms around you. Something interesting is going on. ;-)

Black wolf - Single layer is next. After working with this material, when it tears, It will continues to tear. From my reading on the net, The M55 - is the microripstop version of this material. Thur Hiker AYCE use to carry it. He does not any longer. His Contact site on his Web Site retuns my request. Anyone know either how to contact him or a source for the M55? My feelings is that is the best option for the single layer. I will try a week or two to find the material. If I cannot find it, then I will make it out of the M50.

As far as testing, I plan to use the local crash test dummies - Poof, Me, then MedicineMan. Then I will ship to BlackWolf for the first Overnight tests.

Anyway - I need 4 yrs of M55 - Anyone have some in ther stockpile or know a source?

So the double M50 is going to field test mode. Great job on the hammock. I think the sewn channel was the right way to go for this material. I could see the larkshead wearing on the M50 fabric.

I think I will put this on the to do list.

    Thanks for experimenting with this
