My DIY measures 7' at baseline with 11' ridgeline and 10' wide, so the HG will be close to the same coverage just a little more narrow. The loss in weight will surely make up for it I'm sure!

I have both, the cat cut,,and the straight cut,,4 season HG Cuben tarps,,and both are super easy to hang and get taunt or tight on the RL using Zing-it and dutch flyz to tie off with. With the BMBH UL hammock,, I really like the better coverage the straight cut gives me. about the best I can get is tarp sides about 1ft off the ground with the bridge, If I am in a gathered end hammock about 6-8 inchs off the ground with the doors closed on both. If I don't need the doors,,just fold them either inside or outside and tie off and good to go in the porch mode as well. Both tarps I had Adam make with a 12' ridge line and the cat cut weighs about 10.9 oz with all the tie lines on,,the full cut is an even 13 oz,,and well pleased with both for 11' hammock coverage as well as the bridge.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
