HH, The Nest, and snake skins

JRB provides one of their silnylon compression sacks (7x7x7) for the Nest. Wondering how much more just overnight compression the Nest could handle without any short or long term damage?

i got ya. i was responding to the original post. sorry for the confusion.

my method for carrying my high fill down stuff is to buy oversized stuff sacks, and just let natural weight in the pack and what not compress my stuff to size. that way every inch of my pack is filled, its not overstuffed, and the down is compressed no more than it needs to be.

The key to using snake skins on the hammock is to make your own. Even the HH #4s wont be big enough (I don't think) if you leave the underquilt on.
If you make them big enough to slide loosely over what ever you want to leave with the hammock (underquilt, top quilt), it's just like using a large, silnylon stuff sack, except it's long & skinny.
Then it will still be soft & moldable when you stuff it into your pack, & the air will just be pushed out.
