    climashield question

thinking of making an under quilt using climashield 2x layers, is it worthwhile to put in a button stitch every 4/5in sq for support?

CS doesn't really need it. If you want it for your peace of mind you can put it in but just a seam around the perimeter should be good enough.

I don't see any cottage companies doing so.

After seeing how eaglej was set up I decided to make one from some scrap material I had lying around. I folded the rip stop nylon (1.1oz.) over the edge of the insulation and stitched it up. I followed with fabric for the outside (1.9 oz.), stitched in a channel and ran the shock cord through it. It worked great and no CBS.

Thanks again Jon for the close up of how to tackle a project like that one.
Happy Trails to one and all.
