Winter Hammock Dome ....

A guy on another forum I frequent (BushcraftUSA - sort of a sister site to this one) posted a video showing a geodesic tent/dome made for hanging hammocks in the winter. Can even have a fire inside for warmth!

Just thought I would repost over here, being a hammock thing and all!

This was posted here before, by the guy who was supervising the scout troop that built it. It was a pretty awesome discussion, and inspired me when I was toying with different ideas for the two-person hammock tent/stand I am starting work on next weekend.

Very cool use of a dome tent. SilvrSurfr Just tell your sons this is the kind of tent they have to carry on your trips together. You'll never have to go to ground. I wonder how small/ light a geodesic dome could be?
