    Ants???

Hi all, this my first "new thread" and I am sorry if this question has been answered but I am wondering if anyone ever has had a situation where ants (which love trees) decided to march down your ridgeline and into your hammock? I didn't even think about it until today when my daughter commented that the one thing she didn't like about playing in her tree house was the fact that there were so many ants.

    Thanks!

Yup just had ants in my hammock today. There are several bug repellents out there that would help. I'm mobile at the moment so can't remember the name of them

Permethrin! It kills everything, and I mean everything. Don't spray it in your yard if you have a garden - there will be nothing left to pollinate your plants.

It's actually pretty safe as pesticides go, but deadly to cats and fish.

Hung among some poplar trees last spring in Fort Valley, VA. The trees were full of aphids dripping their honeydew which in turn drew the ants. Mostly to the top of the tarp and none inside, that I saw.

Never had any inside with me. God bless Hennessey. But I have had them using my ridgeline as a highway before.

Permethrin and be real careful with it until it dries.

Somebody needs to do it (and bonus, there's a hammock in the video!)
