Enjoy and have a great trip.
Sounds exciting. Are your buddies hanging too, or are they ground-dwelling?
I fondly remember my first night hanging two years ago. As I set up during a deluge of five inches of rain, my ground-dwelling friend was a few feet away in an Adirondack shelter telling me what a fool I was to try and sleep in a hammock.
"I'm telling you, I have thirty years of camping experience and there is no way you're gonna be dry and comfortable in that hammock. Just forget it and come sleep in the shelter."
Next morning I woke up dry and refreshed from the best night's sleep I'd ever had camping, while my friend was damp and miserable because rats kept him up all night, running across his sleeping bag.
The rest of the week, he gave his "this is thirty years of camping talking," speech several more times. The week after our trip, he bought a hammock and hasn't slept on the ground since. Sweet irony!
Pictures or it didnt happen..lol..j/k have fun and GL..
Have a great trip! Look forward to a posting of your adventure.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
Remember, don't hang any higher than you're willing to fall! I'm sure that won't happen! Have a great time.

Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn." — John Muir
