    Sequoia Forest - 2012 hang

Its been a long time sense I posted a trip report.

I took my girl on her first camping trip. 3 nights. She loves to nap in the BB. So I hung two hammocks side by side from the same toggles. It made a double hammock. I let her sleep in the Blackbird with the yetti, and the black mamba (so I knew she would be warm enough). I slept in my DIY gathered end with a thurmarest pad and a super light sleeping bag (rated 32, but unrealistic at best). I was very surprised how well it worked. I was kept warm because she was so close (and warm). The Giant Sequoia trees are completely mesmerizing. I suggest extra tree straps if your ever going to hang in the Sequoia National Forest.

Because you fall through the clouds if you try to lay on them, so the next best thing is a hammock.

That would take some impressively long tree huggers...

I know but wouldn't it make for an amazing picture? It would help all see how small we are in this large world...
