I'm Jakob. I like to camp out and am beginning to build a backpacking set up, and there's no tent in there!
I'm relatively new to hammock camping, although I do have a little experience. I have a cheapy hammock I got from a camp ground that works OK. I soon plan to move up to the higher end of hammock camping. I have browsed the internet and this forum for a while and realized there's a lot more to this than I thought! Hope I can get some help from seasoned hangers on here!

Howdy from Monmouth/ocean county! Don't fret all the lingo and gadgets, just know to get out there and have fun. The terms will make sense with experience. I remember first getting into hammock camping, came to this site and was overwhelmed. Then I realized, without all the knowledge I was still hanging. Couple hangs under my belt and coming here often, now I know more, but still hanging all the same
