Is the Thermarest moore comfortable than a "foam" pad?I use a Thermarest Sit Pad under my feet in TQ
Do you use anything besides the Thermarest and Yeti?
The pad I use now is 32 inch long, it overlaps the yeti ofcourse
I've had good success with my little thermarest sit pad.
I noticed that there wasn't condensation when the pad was in my TQ vs on the outside. I almost always had condensation when the pad was on the outside of the TQ under my feet.
He knew that.
I'm going to report you all to the Department of Redundancy Department.
... Now for something on topic: FL Rider, I like your analysis of the condensation situation. Shug, does your pad curl up at the bottom so it keeps the bottoms of your feet warm, too, or is just under your calves and heels? Sometimes my feet push out against the insulation (top quilt or insulated hammock) compressing it against the outer layer and creating a cold spot. I've taken to wearing down booties with Aerogel insoles, but it's not the lightest solution.
Thanks, WV!
And, that's a good point about pressing against the bottom of the footbox. Maybe a small piece of foam cut to size and Velcroed in place would work? You'd be able to skip the actual fabric wall on the end of a DIY top quilt and replace it with that, I suppose...
Durnit, WV, you've made me rethink my set up again. Grumble, grumble, grumble...
Seriously, though, good idea!

I went this week and put my pad under my TQ . it may have only gotten to 59 f and i still got condensation, kinda weird as i've used it in colder weather and never gotten condensation before.
