    Goretex 4 pc. Modular military sleeping bag system

    I purchased this from Allegheny Surplus Outlet about a year ago...It is still in the box that they shipped it to me in...I ended up going with a HG TQ & UQ instead...I can take out of box and get better pics if you want...I'm asking $100...I will ship on buyer's dime...If interested please let me know...Thanks...Todd

    Genuine US Military Issue Modular Sleep System (MSS). National Stock Number 8465-01-445-6274. This patented state of the art system has been tested and proven effective by the military for bivouacking in all types of inclement weather. Up for your consideration is a lightly used 4-piece modular sleep system. This system is complete has the goretex bivy cover, large compression stuff sack, intermediate sleep bag as well as the patrol sleeping bag. Bags very lightly used. Come as pictured. All buckles, zippers and snaps in perfect working order. May have writing on the ends on the tags. The snaps all work perfectly and may have a few scratches from storage.     The following is how this System is Rated.

    (a) The Outer Green Patrol Bag is designed to be used in Temperatures down to 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

    (b) Inner Black Bag is designed to be used in temperatures from 30 to minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

    (c) By Joining both bags together by placing the Black Bag Inside Green Bag and snapping all black bag snaps to green bag snaps along each side of the zippers, Insuring the hoods are wide open and then tuck the black bag hood inside the green bag hood. Use only the zipper from the green bag to exit and enter bags when in this configuration. This configuration is designed for temperatures from minus 10 to minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit when used with various insulating layers of the extended cold weather clothing system. For added protection from wind, rain or wet snow, Use the Provided Goretex Bivy Cover which, may attached to the outside of the outermost sleeping bag.

    I have one and it is very warm,but heavy for backpacking maybe car camping

    Yeah that is what I thought after I got it...I ran into someone who had one and realized just how big it is to pack and decided to just pull the trigger on some HG TQ & UQ...I have heard nothing but positive comments about them though...
