    For 7/64 amsteel 2" + 1" taper = 3" total.
    Zing-it is roughly 2".

These are reccomended as minimum for the bury. I generally go a little more just so they dont come apart while loose. Use less at your own risk...

About 6" diameter is the smallest I can make without struggling with them (Amsteel 7/64, 6" bury)

Ive made a few of the continuous loops now and I like them about six inches across. I cut them around 12 inches long. Then I find the center point and make marks on either side of it. Then I do a lock (like you are doing a locked brummel) and bury each end about . It usually works out so the buried ends do not meet.

Do you really need the "lock" ?
Bought some continous loops from whoopie sling.com and they had no "lock", only 2 burrys

A 6'" long string of amsteel would give you about a 1" loop. Need something longer, like 10-12" to start with.

You do not need a lock with a continous loop. The locks prime function is to keep it from becoming un-buried when not loaded. A loop is in no danger of that unless your picking it apart.

If its going to be weight bearing, use more bury, like 6" as mentioned. Dont skim or it will be your butt on the ground because you didnt want to waste 20 more cents of amsteel.

want them as small as possible because in my new suspension setup I want a continous loop with whoopie hook attached to the hammock, and then a continous loop with warbonnet buckles.
I want this setup because I want to be able to easily remove my suspensions and i want the whoopie hooks to work as an xtra water protection ( I have experienced that in heavy rain some water passes the buckles)

What about the knot Brandon uses on his buckle loops?
