Help me choose a sleeping bag

I want to buy a new sleeping bag, (partly because my old one sucks, and partly so i can use my old one as a a makeshift UQ), but i cant decide which one to buy out of the following two:

Both are mummy bags, have draft collars, and compression sacks. both are "2 season" which should do me well enough, right? - camping in the UK from march-sept, mostly in huts.

    Option 1:
    Hi Gear Ridgeline 2
    £25.99 (On SALE, was £35)
    Comfort: 12-19'C
    Limit 3'C
    1.3kg

    Option 2:
    Karrimor *somthing*
    £22.50 (On SALE, was £55)
    comfort: 8-20'C
    limit: -5'C
    .87kg

Both are obviously synthetic, and kinda cheap, but what worries me is that both feel quite thin.. will they "loft up" when unpacked and given a shake?

Im planning on buying a silk bag liner either way, but cant decide which bag, so which should i buy?

What temps will you be in? Do not trust what the packaging says the bags will do. They probably will loft some but generally how its packed is what youll get as an end product.

Either bag with a liner would probably be plenty for warmer months, but sorry I do not know anything specific to the bags.

I don't know anything about those particular bags.

That being said, the only way synthetics are really worth the $, weight and bulk, is when they are high quality synthetics. Same for workmanship involved with the gear.

Still using a liner should make most summer time temps acceptable. Not as much demand on performance for insulation @ 60 degrees and above, unless going with the lightest possible summer down offerings.

I'm not familiar with those bags, but I will say that if you can afford a "good" bag, get it. If you get a cheap bag now, you will just be buying another one in the future. (Believe me, I've wasted a lot of money)

Good luck with whatever choice you decide and above all, enjoy the time you spend with it.

Bought the Karrimor.. i figured it had the best temperature ratings and compressed most too.

It was also the last one on the shelf!
