    Talking The learning curve continues

Well so far I've made a tarp. It doesn't look to good, but it works. Ive' made 5 woopie slings, 4 of which came out good, a beer holder from 3/8" webbing.
Now ill try a small storage hammock before making the full size.
    Any pointers are welcome.

Seems like you're doing really well. I say go for the full size hammock. Hem the long edges and then hem the short (head and foot) edges, make a channel, do the Warbonnet-style whipping method and then hang that puppy. Show us some pics of your DIY gear.

I'll try post a pick of the beer holder tomorrow. It holds your beer and hangs from the ridge line. Easy reach and it doesn't spill. That's important for a 2 beer man. Drink one and spill one.
The small hammock came.out ok. The end himming and channels took more material than I expected. Probably about a foot. I thought it would only be a few inches.
Time to get ready for a nice afternoon ride.
