Sounds great, I have very much enjoyed hanging with you.

As of now this is still a go, as it gets closer I dig deeper into the logistics and will post my findings here.

As was said before I welcome any and all, and welcome any advise or help from all.

    Thumbs up LHHT Hike

I have been thinking about this hike for awhile. It would probably be better for me in the fall, more color, fewer bugs. I spent some time around Ohiopyle last May. I would like to discuss it more at Pine Grove MAHHA this spring.

Unfortunately, I have some family issues that will prevent me from making this trip.

I'm still on for this hike for sure.
I have the days set aside.
This will be an awesome hike!
I believe my friend Donna (SBD) will be joining us as well.

Email has been sent to the Rangers and Park staff with a list of questions, I will post the pertinent info once I get it. Here is some info for those interested, with a specific note on the number of spaces per site:

Trail mileage within park: 70 miles
    Total trail mileage: 70 miles
    Number of overnight sites: 8
Number of shelters per site: 5
Number of tent spaces per site: 25
Amenities available: firewood, fireplaces, fire rings and pit toilets
Amenities NOT available: Check in at park office for availability of water
    Pets allowed: yes
Reserve sites: 11 months in advance through reservePA

Also later this evening I will try to post up a possible itinerary list, this will have the camp sites and miles. If not tonight then tomorrow after I get the kids off to school. Once I get a response from the staff and get everything worked out I will let everyone know my final itinerary.

I hiked the LHHT Northbound solo in August 2012. Since that trip, I have been thinking about a SB trip. I might have to do some creative scheduling!

Would you be able to post some info from your trip? Or do you have a link to a trip report (either on here or somewhere else)?

I would love to hear your thoughts on the trail, time you hiked it, how many days you took, water sources? You know all that kind of stuff
