    Right or wrong

I have been using dutch clips for a long time and still have and use an original set. All this time I have been setting them up as follows:
    Arms up - looks like a 'U'
Wrap strap around the tree and secure the working end of the strap through the clip such that the strap leaves the clip at nearly 180 deg. back towards the hammock. The clip is at the side of the tree 90 deg. away from the lay of the hammock. Pulling the strap, therefore, tensions the strap and prevents the strap from rotating about the tree.

    Am I a sinner?

By the way - the new ti clips are so pretty, I wish I could figure out a way to make mine a ti tie clip!!

As far as I understand, the arms are supposed to be facing down. That's how I set 'em up.

I just bought Al ones a few weeks ago, and a bunch of line and some hardware like a week ago... now I suspect ANOTHER order is inbound!

Keep it up, Dutch, the ingenuity and practicality (not to mention the sheer sexy) is much appreciated, even if SheWhoMustBeObeyed (she mustn't ALWAYS be obeyed... 0=) ) doesn't agree!

I just won a set of the new Dutch Clips at the SC Fall Sprawl Hang. Told the other hangers you can never have enough Dutch Gear.

We are all sinners, but it sounds like you are using it correctly. One last thing is to make sure there is a 30 degree sag I the suspension.
I want to amend this and link to instructions. Note what side the clip is on com[ared to the suspending webbing

Ahhhh - absolved by the Man himself! Just kidding - we all know who the man is.

    Thanks Dutch for the affirmation.

What about the ti tie clip? Probably already thought of that and then thought, woodsmen don't wear ties!

TATO (Dutch's partner in crime) was selling some Dutch gear in addition to his (Tato's) Element stove at a hammock hang this weekend so I picked up some more Dutch gear
