Another hearty welcome from Georgia. Just wish that I could enjoy the hiking and hanging in your great little piece of the world.

    Hi Folks,
It is amazing to see so many people into hammocks...anyway I have a product I have discovered for things that bite !
I have no personal interest in the company or the products but it works....the product is called Smidge, it stops midges, mozzies, ticks etc bitting you, no DEET and WHO approved, also more effective than DEET.
It is sort of waterproof, well for sweat anyway...my son was up in the Highlands a few weeks back and used it and out of the whole of the first year at secondary school he was the only one without a bite !!! you will find it on ebay or the website for info is here.
    http://www.midgeforecast.co.uk/

There is a host of info on the research behind it and the efficacy ( spelling...) the person behind it is a world authority on Midges...seemingly
Thought it may be of interest.
    Cheers

Do we have 'no seeums' here in the UK? Or is that just a generic term for small things that bite?
