    Greetings from Montana

Hey there! Just got into hammock camping this summer and it is Awesome! No more bugs, snakes and critters! No more cleaning off the bottom of the tent to pack up! And no more sore hips and shoulders in the morning.

I managed to get my hammock packed so that it takes about 3 minutes to set up - thanks Stu for the All-In-One whoopie slings!

I started out hanging in the basement (winter in Montana - BRRR!) then practicing in the backyard in the spring (June?) and now have been out in the woods three times. It's been great!

Anyone know of any hammock hangs this summer/fall in Montana?

Don't know of any in Montana but the ID Hang is in a couple weeks in the Sawtooths. Just a hop and a skip from lots of places in Western MT. September 5th-11th, Hiking fishing and lots of hammocks in the woods.

Hello from within the vast 406!

If there isn't a MT hang, we need to start one! I'm in Billings, I know of at least one other member (SnrMoment) from Billings and I've seen a couple from elsewhere in the state.

Aside: Stu rocks! So fast on getting cool gear to my door.

Grapenut, we'll keep it pristine for you unless the caldera blows.

Welcome from a fellow western Montana hammocker. Your experience sounds much like mine. Received my Blackbird in Feb. 15 degrees after 10 in snow but had to try it. My son thought it was great ( http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=29346 ). I would be all for planning a western Montana hang.
