    Hanging in PA

I just got into the whole hammock scene this year. After a long hiatus from hiking/camping I decided to get back into it but knew I had to get away from sleeping on the ground. I never got well rested and it pretty much ruined my trips, hence the hiatus. I have ENO DN and SN (Hung with python straps) along with the guardian bug net. I have the ENO rainfly but i'm not the biggest fan of it, but it will do for now. I'm currently getting ready to do some winter camping and I'm pretty sure my next purchase will be a 0* Incubator, maybe a 20* as I'm a light weight camper and like to keep my pack under 25 lbs if not less. Cheers

Welcome! You aren't that far from the MAHHA hang that's coming soon. Drive down and hang with us!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

Sounds like you are getting your setup ready for the winter. I am a former Pennsylvanian (York, Pa). I am now very happy in S.C. I got stuck in York, Pa. during the Feb 2012 snowstorm, I haven't shoveled that much snow since I was a kid.

Would love to make it down for that but doesn't look like I'll be able to make it happen. Heading to Portugal in December and I'm a little short on vacation days. I'll hang with anyone who is Mitch Hedberg fan.

I've been section hiking the A.T. through Pennsylvania the last couple of years. The only time hammock camping was less than stellar was on a mountain (Blue Mtn?) outside of Palmerton that had NO trees on it (heavy metal mining in the valley had stripped the mountain). Had to go off-trail to drop down to the tree line that night. Going back up for a week starting Saturday.

Also from PA - did the mid state trail last fall. Hammock worked great! Enjoy your upcoming hikes...
