LD Cakes - I am sorry you will not be there.

Just who all is planning to attend this soiree, anyway?
Thanks DavyRay, I wish I could do both like I did last year. But it fell on the same weekend as the FL Hang. I've gone to that one since it's conception and just can't miss it. Maybe next year.

I was at Big Lots today, found a few packs of two piece raffle tickets. So that is covered. (Subtle hint to follow) Now all we need are items to raffle.

That's too bad, Mac. My daughter was hoping to hang out with yours...

You have one crazy mask, there--think that will keep you from losing your nose to frostbite?

    Hey Mac,
You could drop Thing1 off at Mt Rogers on your way north and pick her up on the way back. She knows enough to take care of herself for a couple of extra days in the cold.

Darn, TWO YEARS in a row.
Have a good time & raise a glass to us. Tell Pria we will miss her too, or better yet, do as WV suggests & drop her off with us.

Thanks for the kind words, folks... sure wish Thing1 could attend without me. She's got a lot of school work these days.

Just so people can sign up without having to search.
AND, you don't have to sign up, but it would be nice. Just don't say to yourself on Thursday, "Oh I wanted to go, but didn't sign up!" come anyway, it will be alright, we got plenty of room!!!!!

Um - What type of food is needed for the group feed? Just wondering. I guess that I'll wait and see how many are attending after New Years. Is it just a sit around the fire and eat type thing?
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Usually hearty stuff, like: Chili, Jambalaya (aka JIMbalaya), Thick hearty toasted sandwiches, etc.
I'm bringing Scotch eggs which are hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage & baked. They take 1 Lb sausage per 1/2 dozen eggs. One is a meal for a decent breakfast, 2 & you may fall asleep on the way to work, but they can be eaten whenever.
You are responsible for your meals the rest of the time, remember: This is NOT the time to have a low calorie low fat diet.
