Full length UQ and diagonal lay

I am toying with the idea of making a full length uq. I have a wbbb, and with my 3/4 length uq, my feet stick out and I use a small pad under my lower legs. It works okay but can be fiddly and I'm concerned it might be worse with a full length one. For those of you that have gone down this road, how do you deal with that ?(long UQ hanging in line with hammock, head and feet sticking out diagonally)

    Thanks!

I us a full length UQ with my WBBB. It is square shaped, so the same width on the head and foot end. When I mount it I try to put the UQ on a slight diagonal, to maximize my laying area. The feet end have not been an issue with coverage or movement of the UQ, but it took some tweaking to avoid the UQ slipping of the left hand shoulder. Titanium and plastic Pieces from Dutch was good help

    Go for it

I have a BIAS, which is about a foot longer than the WBBB, and use a stock UQ from Hammock Gear in a diagonal lay without any problems. It can be adjusted a bit to get good coverage underneath.

I saw in Shug's video a tip to tighten up the cord in the two opposing corners (foot and shoulder corners) as much as possible while slightly slackening the others, to make sure it covers the diagonal best. Haven't tried it in practice just yet, but if he says it is so, it is so

I changed from a diy 1/2 uq to a 20 degree incubator and love it. Its wide enough at the head end that I tie my right shoulder side to my ridge line to pull down the left side so I can see out. I think the key is just making the uq wide enough. A full uq behaves differently than a 3/4. It seems to stay in place easier.

This video shows putting a full length UQ on a BlackBird and what I do to adjust the UQ to Footbox. Hope it might help you see some fixes.
