    Question UQ – Check…Now What?

I just received my 0* Phoenix UQ and it is a thing of beauty. However, what do I do now? How careful do I need to be? Can some moisture like morning dew be ok since I don’t have a tarp (yet)? I assume that I don’t want to place it in a compression stuff sack when I hike. I will read the forums on the best way to attach it to my ENO DN.
I may be lost but I am making great time.

Congrats! I think a modicum of care is all that's required. ONE requirement is to get out there and enjoy the heck out of it.

I would definitely concentrate on getting a tarp next.

I will be hanging this weekend and backpacking with it 11/09. I will enjoy it.

Congrats, sweet UQ!!!! I put my UQ in a stuff sack when hiking, but I store it in a large mesh bag at home. Enjoy your hike and your UQ.

down is pretty resilient stuff, as long as your not storing it compressed when your off the trail you should be just fine, i don't use a compression sack, but instead a waterproof stuff sack and i pack my quilts in there pretty snug and it doesn't seem to have hurt them any......if after awhile you feel they are losing a bit of loft, just toss them in the dryer with some tennis ball and tumble on "air" to re-fluff

I would work toward obtaining some sort of tarp to keep you and all your gear (down or not) nice and dry. MacCat makes a few less-expensive tarps that are still first rate quality, and I've seen three or four being sold used on the forums in the last week or two alone. Might be a good place to start looking.
