That was the best part of the trip...counting on more elk next year!
We spent most of the daylight hours hunting though not seeing anything. These pictures were from day one. We'd just got setup and the skies opened up. Figured it was a great opportunity for me to introduce my friend to his "bed" for the week. He came away a believer.
That was the best part of two tarps....lots of room for gear though I was more than a little put off when I returned from a day's hunt to discover a critter had torn two holes in my TQ! Tim (EE) was able to repair them and I'm ready for the next trip!
I'd recommend putting a hammock in your day pack when hunting. It's a great way to spend those "middle hours" of the day without having to lay on the ground!
Where ever you go, there you are?
Glad to see a report from a fellow hunting hanger! Looks like a great trip. I'm ready for deer season to come in here!
That's great. I recently bought a compound bow for the purpose of hunting. I should be good for next year/season. This looks great. I really look forward to my first hunt.
Love the pictures..

Looks like a beautiful spot. You've gotta love getting out to the mountains during hunting season. Any bugling?
