Only 4 tries with the bear bag?
Last time I was at the gorge I tried atleast a dozen times before I got my bag hung.
Don't have to bag too high in my area, just enough to keep the smaller critters out of it all. Bear bagging is not one of my strong points that is for certain.

Well, there are SUPPOSED to be GPS coordinates and altitude in the upper right corner. I didn't notice that they weren't there. The upper left corner shows what time I took the snap, my bearing and the azimuth. The bearing arrow shows, well, my bearing. For some reason everything that was on the screen didn't show up in the picture. My speed, the GPS coordinates and other stuff should be there. There are a lot of other functions on this app that I haven't explored or understand yet. I just barely understand the compass! Here's the manual for the app:

Good for you, GrannyPat! Always a good thing to get a little solitude. I think Shug may be right about the metabolism and the early morning chills. Glad you had a good hang.
looks like a nice spot
Congrats GP! Well done!

Yep, it was nice. I'm going to go again soon.
